Crimes against women are on the rise across the world and victim shaming seems like a disturbing practice that has been reported following most incidents these days. In a country like India where women’s security is a major issue, society and even authorities seem to be insensitive towards it.

A similar unnerving incident came to light in Delhi where a woman shared a horrifying tale of a drunk man attempting to molest her at a PG, after which she was subjected to an ordeal by the authorities and the owner of the accommodation who discouraged the girls from filing a complaint.

The woman shows how instead of helping, the owner simply beat up the man and let him go, after which along with the police he lectured them on how girls should not go out post 11 in the night and compared the incident to couples in parks.

The authorities also go on to intimidate the girls by saying how the boy’s friends could take revenge by acid attacks and also laughed when they saw the incident in CCTV footage.
