Insta-cuties gurgle on
The little moppets of many stars have their own instagram accounts where adorable updates of the newborns are going viral.
The latest social media trend is an adorable affair! Waiting period photo shoots and themed baby showers are second best right now, as the coolest thing for a new parent to do is have an Instagram account dedicated to the newborn for them to post pictures of their munchkins. Millennial parents like Teejay Sindhu and Karanvir Bohra, MS Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni, Rannvijay Singh and Priyanka Vohra are a few of these stars who post pictures of their babies on separate accounts. These social media accounts receive a lot of fanfare and top marks for cuteness!
As pop star Taylor Swift famously said, “This is the first generation that will be able to look back on their entire life story documented in pictures on the Internet, and together we will all discover the after-effects of that. (sic)” As fans, we get a fair opportunity to see our favourite celeb’s baby grow up too. Who could resist adorable baby pictures with captions that make them sound like an adult? Watching a child grow up is a joy that cannot be expressed by mere words and these new parents know it all too well. While some choose to protect their young ones from the preying eyes of the paparazzi, others don’t think twice before they proudly flaunt their offspring. As much as protecting the little ones is a priority, there are not many opportunities for famous parents to completely shun the spotlight away from their kids.
The parents themselves are well aware of the fan following that their children get as Teejay Sidhu commented on her twins receiving a lot of attention, “I guess our babies are becoming more popular in India than we are. Since we came back to India, non-stop friends are coming over to visit us… And our babies love meeting new people. They enjoy laughing and playing a lot. (sic)” As much as this seems to be a fun way for them to document their child's journey this has also been a great way for them as shared snippets form their life with the fans! This could also be a healthy way of sharing the little joys of their lives.
Actor Shweta Srivastav who is the mother of a three-month-old girl says, "It is up to every parent how they want to raise their child. I don't think there is any harm with sharing pictures of your children, as they are really sweet at this age. In fact, it’s better that they do instead of giving an opportunity for other sources to do so. It's only normal now for new parents to take pictures of their babies every single day and it's the same as sharing it in family groups and such. Social media has always been about sharing the big moments. When they post on behalf of the children with funny captions it can only be seen in good humour and in this manner, it’s coming from a legitimate source too. Later as the children grow up, they can choose to continue or discontinue it.”
