LEGOLAND in Dubai unveils spectacular LEGO model of Taj Mahal

It weighs 645 kg and took 280,741 LEGO bricks to build.

Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and an Indian tourist destination which is popular across the world. This is exactly why LEGOLAND in Dubai chose to recreate the historic structure as spectacular LEGO model on the occasion of India’s 70th Independence Day.

The LEGO Taj Mahal, which looks as breathtaking as the real one, took 2,019 hours to build, and weighs 645 kg, with 280,741 LEGO bricks that went into creating it. The detailing is brilliant with mostly white bricks adorned by gold, red and black ones.

This replica of the majestic Taj Mahal is a part of LEGOLAND, which has six themes areas housing 15000 LEGO models made from 60 million LEGO bricks. It’s set to open 31 October 2016.
