Actor RK enters Guinness World Record
Six judges, including two from London and four from India, one of whom was Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, witnessed the event.
Actor turned entrepreneur RK entered the Guinness Book of World Records on August 15 for the feat of 1,014 people simultaneously applying a new hair colour shampoo with bare hands at an event that took place in EVP Film City. The shampoo which will not stain the hands has been developed by the actor.
Speaking on why he attempted to create a record, RK said, “When we have a ‘made in India’ tag people look differently. I wanted to take this product to an international level, but they were sceptical about the quality of the product because it was developed in India. They were in disbelief when I said you could colour your hair with bare hands without using gloves. In order to prove my point and make people the world over recognise it, I thought of attempting Guinness Records.”
Six judges, including two from London and four from India, one of whom was Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, witnessed the event. Talking on the occasion, Karisma said, “I was excited to see so many people performing the Guinness Act at the same time. It was an amazing sight when I saw thousands of raised hands in air to ascertain their feat.”
