A trust fund or just a fat bank balance will make it easy for a guy to land a pretty face or even a model, but to attract a supermodel or A-lister, he needs to be a big player in his field. Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel managed to get Victoria Secret’s supermodel Miranda Kerr to marry him with the old fashioned condition that they will have to wait till they get married to enjoy any intimacy!

In an interview, actor Asin laughingly revealed that when she first met her husband, Micromax phone boss Rahul Sharma on a private jet, she thought he was just another of Akshay Kumar’s friends getting a free ride. The guy was part of the entourage and it was his plane! Nothing like a young success story to make a girl do a double take.

Actor Meghan Markle, who is dating Prince Harry allegedly dumped her celebrity chef boyfriend for the royal! It’s not just the money, it’s the power these guys have that women find so sexy. Sociologist Shiv Vishwanathan explains, “Power has its own seduction. It generates its own idea of erotic. Power is a kind of refined currency, more subtle than money. Money can’t buy you everything but power can get you what you want. Today one is turned on most by power than anything else.” And these powerful men see stunning partners as a reflection of their success.

Sociologist Prof. Daniel David of Madras Christian College points out that security is one of them, “Every woman looks for this feature in her life and with power comes security.” The next feature is money according to Prof David. “Women like to spend it, so what better than a guy who can provide loads of it!” It’s unfair to label a girl a gold digger if she wants a rich husband. A documentary on the Laws of Attraction stated women find men with a Mercedes Benz far more attractive than a man who owns a Harley Davidson because it means that he has better financial means to look after her children. This is a biological way of looking at things, says Prof David. In the film Scarface, Al Pacino says, “You gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women.”
