New Delhi: An unusual pair of sneakers has triggered outrage on social media.
Manufactured by Italian high fashion sneaker brand 'Golden Goose', the sneakers with 'crumply, hold-it-all-together tape' are being called out for glorifying poverty.

The crumbly 'Superstar Tape Sneaker' are being sold at a whopping 530 USD (approximately Rs. 38,000)!

The sneakers, that appear to be worn out, are available online on the brand's website and also on American retail chain Nordstrom.

Instead if getting orders for the new range, the brand is receiving backlash with Twitter users calling their designs 'offensive' and 'distasteful'.

While Twitter users don't seem to approve of the Italian brand's aberrant design, we leave it upto you to decide if you will stack these taped sneakers in your shoe collection.
