You can now buy Harry Potter's house
The cupboard, as all fans know, is where Harry was forced to sleep until he was 11 years old and went to Hogwarts.
Fans can now buy Harry Potter’s childhood home of 4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey in the UK. But, there’s a slight catch. The home of the Dursley family, Harry’s Muggle aunt, uncle and cousin has been put on the market. However, it’s not all magic. The property which featured in the Harry Potter film series is, unfortunately for superfans, actually called 12 Picket Post Close — and it’s not even in Surrey. It’s actually in Martins Heron, Bracknell in Berkshire.
Thankfully, as adult fans of a children’s book, they’re probably able to suspend their disbelief. To make up for this, the main ‘feature’ that sells this property has to be the cupboard under the stairs. The cupboard, as all fans know, is where Harry was forced to sleep until he was 11 years old and went to Hogwarts. The asking price for the site of Aunt Marge’s expansion, Dudley’s tongue twisting nightmare, and child maltreatment, is £475,000.
