Divya Sathyaraj bats for basic rights of children
The well-being of children is one of the most important indicators of a country\'s progress.
Popular nutritionist and daughter of the veteran actor, Divya Sathyaraj, came into prominence after she wrote to PM Modi about malpractices in the medical field. Divya's latest initiative include adopting children - along with World Vision, she will be working to ensure that children have access to basic rights like quality health and education.
“India ranks 100 out of 119 countries in the global hunger index.38.4 % of children under the age of 5 are stunted and only 62 % of children between 12 to 23 months are immunised. The well-being of children is one of the most important indicators of a country's progress. Every child should have access to quality health and education. I am happy to partner with WorldVision to ensure that children have access to basic rights through their child sponsorship programme. World Vision India is one of the country's largest child focused humanitarian organisations with over six decades of experience. World vision works in 123 districts impacting 26 lakh children in over 6,200 communities spread across 24 states and the national capital region to address issues affecting children”, she said.
