Four tigers migrated from Maha spotted in Adilabad
ADILABAD: Four tigers were found moving in the forests of Gollaghat Thamsi village in Bheempur mandal, and it is believed that these tigers migrated to Adilabad district by crossing the Penganga River from Maharashtra's Thippeshwar Tiger Reserve.
This is the first time four tigers have been spotted at the same time in the Adilabad district. The tipper driver noticed three cubs and a mother moving in the area on Friday night. The villagers were terrified after videos of the tigers' movements went viral on social media.
According to forest officials, the tigers may have migrated to the Gollaghat Thamsi area in search of drinking water and prey because deer and other herbivores are free to roam the agricultural fields now that farmers have cleared all standing crops. It is also said that Gollaghat Thamsi is only a half-hour walk from the borders of Thippeshwar Tiger Reserve, and that a group of three tigers was discovered in the same area two months ago.
On Friday morning, shortly after receiving information about the tiger movement, forest personnel led by Adilabad FRO Gulab Singh rushed to the site and began tracking the tiger's movements with the assistance of watchers and animal trackers.
The tiger movement was discovered in the forests on the outskirts of Gunjala village. The forest staff also stated that they were educating local villages not to use electric wires as fencing to protect their standing crops from wild animals in order to avoid any untoward incidents.
