UK Police hunt 'Friends' star David Schwimmer lookalike
Meanwhile, the actor posted a spoof video re-enacting his lookalike's alleged crime.
Washington: Police in Blackpool are scouting for a doppelganger of 'Friends' actor David Schwimmer, who was seen stealing from a mall in the English town.
On account of the stark similarity, Schwimmer took to Twitter to clarify that it wasn't him stealing the beer cans.
"Officers, I swear it wasn't me. As you can see, I was in New York. To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation. #itwasntme" he tweeted.
Schwimmer even posted the CCTV grab of the video which shows the robber stealing a stash of beer cans.

It was on September 20 that the police department posted the video, asking citizens for their assistance to nab the robber.
The police authorities in a statement have now confirmed that after thorough investigations it was found that David Schwimmer was in New York when the crime took place and said: "We're so sorry it has to be this way."
