Meet the new chairperson of the Hyderabad chapter of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) Priyankka Ganeriwal Arora, who recently succeeded Kamini Saraf. A wedding planner, who runs the company Weddings N More, Priyankka had been a member of FLO since 2002.

“I have been a member since its inception and have been a committee member for the past 13 years. I’ve donned various roles and have grown with the organisation,” she says.

Talking about her vision for next year, Priyankka says, “The responsibility is immense. Whether it is designing the programme, bringing in speakers who can match our vision, or  day-to-day functioning, we need to make sure that we are able to empower our members.”

She continues, “Each chairperson brings in her own vision: mine is ‘infinite possibilities’. My take is that in the last decade, the dynamics of business has changed. New leaders have thought of things differently and are trendsetters. We have new market spaces that are being created. The idea is to make our members think out-of-the-box. We have a lot to look forward to.”

Kamini, whose term as the chairperson ended recently, calls it an excellent year. “My experience as the chairperson was excellent. We brought about a lot of changes. Whether it was through workshops, our different initiatives or the speakers, it revolved around women’s empowerment and developing leadership qualities in our members. In all, it was a good year.”

About Priyankka, Kamini said that being in the committee for so many years, she deserved the post.

Meanwhile, Vinita Surana succeeds Sandhya Raju as Young Ficci Ladies Organisation chairperson.
