One man’s decision to keep his cool after being pushed aside by an impatient customer while standing in the line for his Lotto ticket at the supermarket truly paid off after he won 1$ million. The unnamed man says that he chose not to start a fight with that person and discovered only days later that he had picked up the winning ticket.

“I wasn't in any hurry, so I just let them go ahead and didn't say anything. I guess good karma pays off - if that hadn't happened, they might have had the winning ticket not me,” he was quoted as saying by the New Zealand Herald.

The man shared the good news with his wife after he returned home from work and they went to collect their prize money the next day. The fortunate couple says that they are ‘absolutely thrilled’ with their win and are planning to use the money to purchase a house.
