Watch: Things that women hear in a lifetime that men never will

Being a woman is tough. Societal expectations often dictate what women should and should not do. The worst is when people think they have the right to bash you anyways even as you cave in to unreasonable demands. In this video, women of various ages reveal the things that they have to hear simply on account of being a member of the fairer sex.

Many of these statements are often heard by girls and women at some point in their life and ironically are ridden with conflicting messages about what it means to be a woman. What is even more sickening is that men never get to hear these remarks in their life.

Let us hope that such forms of subtle but perverse sexism end soon so that our future generation of young women are not chained by expectations of an oppressively patriarchal system.
