Networking is his forte

In his conversation with DC, the CEO of Nexus Public Relations talks about his decade-old journey in the PR industry.

P Indran established Nexus Public Relations in 2009. He has achieved a consistently reliable and savvy reputation in the city. Over the years, he fought adversity, seized opportunities, maintained a positive image and cultivated strong media connections. From lifestyle and sports to health and real estate, he has established lasting connections with clients from all the fields.

“In 2009 I got my first offer from a silk saree company to manage public relations for a show. Having worked in the media fields I liked being connected to people and having conversations with audiences”, says, P Indran.

Indran has also played a major role in the field of public relations in as many as seven world records; helped raise funds for the Prime Minister's fund during 2014 Kashmir floods and worked with eminent personalities including Shah Rukh Khan for two of his movies -- Chennai Express and Happy New Year.

Challenging project? “It was in 2014 when India set a world record for the largest human flag, formed by over 55,000 volunteers. The project was called My Flag My India, and unlike other events that needed only about a week's time, I had to work on this for a year. On the day of the record, I was surprised when I saw two lakh people on the YMCA ground.”

He has also won an award for the best Public Relations professional in the year 2019. Indran emerged as a solid PR professional in the industry and continues to network his way to everything that is happening in the city.

“I want to spread the world about the scope of PR among youth because theory is different from practical and fieldwork. This is a productive field, yet many people are unaware of the opportunities and also I want to encourage more people to come into this field”, concludes Indran.
