Chennai band makes it big
The band has performed in Hard Rock Café - Mumbai (Andheri and Worli), Hard Rock Café Hyderabad, Pondicherry and many places around Chennai.
Chennai based alt-rock band, ODDSOX, won the Best College Band Award at the Raymond Parks Hunt 2018 in Mumbai last October.The lead vocalist of the band, Neil Cornelius, says, “When I joined college I was in a constant hunt for bandmates and in a month and a half the band was formed, the hunt came to an end and thus the fun began.”
After winning the preliminary round in the south zone, ODDSOX competed with 120 colleges all around the country and won the title with a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh. The band comprises five members - Neil Cornelius (vocalist), Andrew Deepak (guitarist), Balaji Krishnan (keyboard), Nithin James Peter (bassist) and Erai Arasu (drummer) who are studying Economics, English and Tamil Literature in their final undergraduate year. Managing the band and academics had been a cake walk for all these musicians. It is said that the friendship they share has helped them get going all these days.

After releasing their debut single ‘Drown in YouTube’, the band’s future plan is to create more such songs and albums. The band is to go on an All-India musical tour which begins from January 5 at Bengaluru.
