E-ticket for Mysuru tourists soon
To begin with tickets will be issued for Mysuru Palace, the zoo, Karanji lake and for a darshan at Chamundi hills.
Mysuru: Come January and the Mysuru district administration will introduce an integrated e- ticketing system, that will be a one- stop destination for tickets for at least four major tourism destinations in the city.
Mysuru Deputy Commissioner, D Randeep discussed the plan with different departments and stakeholders at the Mysuru Palace Board meeting here on Wednesday.

Book My Show has been identified as the facilitator of the project, according to deputy director of the Department of Tourism, Janardhan H P. Mysuru tourism forum head, A Jayakumar says at least 60 per cent of tourists prefer to book tickets online.
“The new plan will not just save time and be convenient, but will also boost tourism by at least 20 per cent. It is good from the security point of view too,” he added.
Meanwhile the tourism department plans to issue the multi -destination tickets manually too, according to tourism department sources. A few kiosks will be set up to dispense the tickets, they reveal.
