500 Hyderabad artists transcend into a colour-filled world
Artists create live Illustrations and exchange ideas
HYDERABAD: The ‘Art Meet’ up at T- Works provided a ‘wonderful opportunity’ for artists from across genres to ‘meet, interact and exchange ideas’ pertaining to painting and sketching illustrations, here on Saturday.
One of the largest artists' get-togethers in the city that saw the presence of around 500 artists, the meet was organized by T-Works and Urban Sketchers.
Professional artists, art lovers and enthusiasts had an opportunity to interact, explore and exchange ideas on different mediums, while also creating live illustrations.
J. Thrilok, an IT professional and an acrylic artist from Kokapet, said that this was his first visit to an art meet. He said that it was an excellent opportunity to meet new people and share ideas besides getting an open space to sit and paint, which is a rarity in the bustling city.
R. Akansha from Secunderabad, who is into graphite charcoal as her drawing medium, said, “This provided a good opportunity to explore other art forms and to meet many upcoming artists from the city”.
K. Alankrita said that her experience was unique as she could learn about varied mediums of painting and sketching, including digital illustration.
Riya Sharma, a banker who works with live portraits, said, “I had a new experience. I met many people with similar and different interests and there was so much to learn about painting and sketching.”
Meanwhile, art enthusiasts had a new experience as they got to meet artists whom they had known only through social media platforms.
Many visitors said that the innovative machines and prototypes displayed at T-Works served as an inspiration to take up digital innovation in art.
