Kishan Reddy Demands Apology from Rahul Gandhi for Anti-Hindu Remarks
When the Congress-led UPA was in power, they tried to enact a bill pertaining to communal violence that was only meant to punish Hindus, the BJP- leader said.
Hyderabad: Union minister for coal and mines G. Kishan Reddy demanded that Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi seek an apology from the Hindu community for his hate speech in the House where he called Hindus as being ‘violent’ and ‘hate-filled’. Gandhi has shown his true colours with his snide remarks against the Hindus, Reddy said.
In a statement here on Tuesday, the minister said that the Congress leader had misused the august platform. In his self-proclaimed attempt to project himself as a defender of the constitution, he has exposed his anti-Hindu agenda, Reddy said.
He reminded Gandhi that Parliament is not an election campaign platform where fake news and edited videos can be circulated unhindered but a platform to raise issues with facts and evidence.
The Congress and its alliance partners have insulted Sanatana Dharma and Hindus on umpteen occasions in the past but this time Gandhi has launched a direct attack on Hindus with his shameful hate speech from the temple of democracy, Reddy said.

Meanwhile, former BJP MLC N. Ramchander Rao charged that Gandhi had insulted the sentiments of Hindus. Former Union minister Sushil Kumar Shinde also had made a similar statement against Hindus and was later forced to tender an apology, he said
Rao said that the Congress had traditionally acted like an anti-Hindu party and several temples in the valley were demolished during the Congress regime. By enforcing Article 370, they had denied reservations to dalits and backward Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
