HyderabadThe swift action of Begumpet police and the north zone led to the arrest of six murder accused including a juvenile suspect within 12 hours after the crime. A man called Shaik Osman, 32, was brutally murdered near Ganesh Mandapam, Old Patigadda, Begumpet on Tuesday.

North zone DCP Sadhana Rashmi Perumal said at a press conference held here on Wednesday that the main accused Mohammed Ajaz, 26, a cook and Osman were childhood friends and residents Old Patigadda. Ajaz came to know about the relationship between sister-in-law Neha and Osman since last year. In April, he warned Neha and Osman to end their relationship and forcibly made them block each other’s numbers on their mobiles, Rashmi said.
Further, when Ajaz came to know that Neha’s wedding was called off due to her relationship with Osman, he developed a grudge towards his childhood friend.

On Tuesday, at around 6 pm, when Aijaz was outside, his wife called to inform that Osman, his brother Hussain, and their mother had quarrelled with her and said that her son is threatening to hang himself if they don't perform his marriage with Neha.

Followed by this, Ajaz barged into Osman’s house and confronted his brother Hussain, threatening to kill Osman, the DCP said. Ajaz, along with Mohammed Feroz, 26, Sahil Khan, 19, Mohd Fazal, 20, Mohd Rasheed, 18, and a juvenile, decided to kill Osman at around 11.40 the same night.

When Osman was returning from Pattigadda auto stand, along with his sister on a bike, the accused intercepted them. They dragged Osman to the ground and stabbed him on his neck with a dagger. When Osman’s sister shouted for help, all of them fled the scene.

The accused were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody and the minor has been shifted to a Juvenile home.
