Tirupati:The Tirumala police have filed a case against Divvela Madhuri for allegedly hurting religious sentiments during the ongoing Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams. The complaint was lodged by M. Manohar, Assistant Vigilance and Security Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Madhuri is accused of creating social media reels in the sacred Mada Streets surrounding the Tirumala temple on October 7, deemed disrespectful during the religious festival. The complaint stated that her actions disturbed devotees and harmed the spiritual atmosphere.

The public outcry intensified after images of Madhuri with Duvvada Srinivas near the Srivari temple went viral. Following this, the Tirumala police initiated legal action, officially filing an FIR against Madhuri, with Cr. No: 74/2024. The case has been registered under sections 292, 296, and 300 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 66(E) of the IT Act, 2000-2008, concerning obscenity, disturbance of religious assemblies, and privacy violations.
