Visakhapatnam: Jana Sena corporator Peethala Murthy Yadav on Sunday said chief secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy must explain what was he doing in Visakhapatnam on May 9, as he repeated his allegation that Jawahar Reddy's son was behind a land scam.

Peethala said he was undeterred by Jawahar Reddy's statements to the press. “I am ready to face legal action from K.S. Jawahar Reddy, as these allegations are of grave concern,” the GVMC corporator said.

"Jawahar Reddy told the media that he had visited Visakhapatnam on May 13 and 20 but he must explain why was he in Visakhapatnam on May 9," Peethala said.

In a statement to the media, Jawahar Reddy said, “I have already issued a statement in the face of the press denying the false and baseless allegations made against me, yet Jana Sena corporator Murthy Yadav held a press conference and repeated the baseless allegations. He will soon be issued a legal notice for making false allegations.”

Jawahar Reddy added that legal experts were consulted to take legal action against Peethala.
