Visakhapatnam: The railways has equipped its ticket-checking staff in the Waltair Division with body-worn cameras. The initiative was launched by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Saurabh Prasad during a ceremony held on Saturday.

"The introduction of body-worn cameras for our ticket checking staff underscores our commitment to transparency and professionalism within the Indian Railways system," said DRM Saurabh Prasad. "This initiative not only enhances passenger safety but also strengthens accountability and safeguards the reputation of our dedicated staff," he added.
This implementation marks a significant step forward for the Indian Railways, leveraging technology to improve the ticket checking process. By equipping staff with body cameras, the Railways aim to significantly reduce instances of misconduct, violence, and discrepancies during ticket inspections, both onboard trains and at stations.
