TSMC revises med registration fees

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC) revised the fee structure for various medical registrations, the decision was made during the general body meeting held on 7 February 2024, chaired by Dr Mahesh Kumar K., with Dr Ch Hanumantha Rao as the registrar, the council said.

The provisional registration fee has been halved from Rs 2,000 to Rs 1,000 and the provisional registration for doctors from other countries has been reduced from Rs 5,000 to Rs 3,000. The fee for duplicate provisional registration has also been cut to Rs 1,000 from the previous Rs 2,000. Final registration costs have seen a significant reduction, with fees now at Rs 2,000, down from Rs 4,000, while final registration for doctors from other countries has been slashed by half, from Rs 10,000 to Rs 5,000.

Similarly, duplicate final registration fees have been lowered from Rs 5,000 to Rs 3,000. Postgraduate (PG) diploma registration fees have been reduced to Rs 2,000 from Rs 2,500 and duplicate PG diploma registration fees remain at Rs 2,000. PG degree registration costs have been brought down to Rs 3,000 from Rs 4,000, with the fee for duplicate PG degree registration also reduced to Rs 3,000. Super specialty registration fees have been lowered from Rs 7,000 to Rs 5,000 and the cost for duplicate super specialty registration has been adjusted to Rs 5,000. Renewal of registration new costs Rs 1,000, a significant decrease from the previous Rs 2,000, while the fee for duplicate renewal of registration remains unchanged at Rs 2,000. The charge for a change of name also remains at Rs 2,000. Good standing/CT verification for other countries continues to cost Rs 8,000 and the fee for a no objection certificate (NOC) stays at Rs 3,000. Levy charges for non-utilisation of NOC remain at Rs 1,000 and temporary permission for foreign visiting doctors (for three months) is still Rs 20,000.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) fees for one-day programme remain at Rs 5,000, for two-day programme at Rs 10,000 and for three-day/state conference programme at Rs 15,000. State conference (CPD) fees stay at Rs 15,000 and national conference fees remain at Rs 20,000. A new fee of Rs 10,000 has been introduced for other state speakers or professors attending for the demonstration of live procedures in CPD, valid for one month.
