Prepare Master Plan-2050 for Warangal City Integrated Development: CM Revanth Reddy
Warangal: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday asked officials to prepare a “Master Plan -2050” for the integrated development of the Warangal City.
Participating in the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) review meeting, he wanted to develop Warangal on par with Hyderabad. Instructing officials to take required steps to develop Warangal as a heritage city, he asked officials to complete land acquisition for Inner and Outer Ring Road and instructed them to furnish details regarding funds required for land acquisition.
Revanth Reddy suggested developing the proposed Outer Ring Road to connect one national highway with another national highway and ensure that a road is developed to connect from the outer ring road to Kakatiya Textile Park.
He asked officials to prepare plans to develop an underground drainage system under the Smart City mission. Officials have been directed to make plans for laying drinking water pipelines and instructed them to take all measures to prevent encroachment of nalas.
He said the in-charge minister should hold a review on the development of Warangal city every 20 days. The State government was ready to extend help for the development of the city and asked officials to find out permanent measures for the dumping problem in Warangal. The authorities have been asked to come out with plans in this direction.
After interacting with Union Ministers and Congress senior leaders during his visit to New Delhi, Revanth Reddy reached Hyderabad today and headed to Warangal in a helicopter. Upon reaching the district, he first inspected the Textile Park.
He then released “Vana Mahostvam” logo and planted a sapling. He later reviewed the ongoing construction works at the park. A few minutes later, he proceeded to Government Multi-Super Specialty Hospital, which is under construction, and reviewed the work progress.
Revanth Reddy also inaugurated mahila shakthi canteen and reviewed the development of Warangal with municipal officials in the district.
