19 Fined Rs 10,00 Each for Drunk Driving in NTR District

VIJAYAWADA: The traffic police in NTR district apprehended 19 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol during drink-and-drive checks at multiple junctions.

The offenders were presented before Railway Court Magistrate Judge R.V. Sharma, who imposed fines of Rs 10,000 on each individual.

District commissioner of police (CP) SV Rajasekhar Babu emphasised that regular drink-and-drive checks will continue and that offenders will be strictly penalised. He urged all vehicle drivers to follow traffic regulations and prioritise road safety.
