The TD government did not impose any restrictions on Jagan’s padayatra in the past, but Jagan has disrupted the padayatra of Nara Lokesh. The YSRC leaders are also posting derogatory material on social media. They have even made vile comments about their own leaders' family members, yet no action has been taken against them by the party's high command. When party leaders insult opposition members, they encourage instead of condemning those posting objectionable comments, Parthasarathy said. — X.com

VIJAYAWADA: Minister for housing and information Kolusu Parthasarathy accused the previous YSRC government of degrading the law and order situation in the state. In a press conference held on Friday at the TD central office in Mangalagiri, the minister said the people were astonished to watch YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy talking about democracy.

He recalled that Jagan had succeeded in getting a resolution for his lifelong leadership of the YSRC, but the Election Commission had denied such a possibility in a democracy. He said the people of the State have witnessed the chaos created by the YSRC.

“The TD government did not impose any restrictions on Jagan’s padayatra in the past, but Jagan has disrupted the padayatra of Nara Lokesh. The YSRC leaders are also posting derogatory material on social media. They have even made vile comments about their own leaders' family members, yet no action has been taken against them by the party's high command. When party leaders insult opposition members, they encourage instead of condemning those posting objectionable comments,” Parthasarathy said.

Talking about the attacks and police cases, he said, “During the YSRC government, then MLA Jogi Ramesh attacked the Naidu's residence but no action was taken against him and Ramesh was rewarded with a ministry post. Under the YSRC regime, thousands of false cases were registered against people from marginalised communities, including 300 against BCs, 192 against SCs, 58 against STs, 11 against minorities and 2,027 against women. There have also been 13 murders during the election code period and six murders after the elections. Police booked 2,005 cases on TD activists, 2,014 cases on Jana Sena activists and 69 cases on BJP activists. Jagan government also registered 2,526 police cases against 267 farmers belonging to Amaravati. A total of 2,686 murders registered in the five years of Jagan rule.”
