Kurnool: Kurnool district collector P. Ranjit Basha warned on Sunday that strict action would be taken against private colleges denying hall tickets or preventing degree and intermediate students from attending classes due to unpaid fees. The collector emphasised that such actions, which put pressure on students or disrupt their education, would not be tolerated.

He pointed out that the state government deposits fee reimbursement funds directly into colleges' bank accounts and made it clear that no college should trouble students or hinder their academic pursuits.
Similarly, Prakasam district collector A. Thameem Ansaria stressed that no student should be denied hall tickets, practical examinations, or attendance in classes over fee reimbursement issues. She highlighted instances where certain college principals were reportedly withholding certificates or preventing students from writing examinations due to unpaid fees. She firmly stated that such practices contravene government guidelines and warned that colleges engaging in such actions would be blacklisted and face strict penalties.
