600-Member APEPDCL Team to Restore Vijayawada Power

VISHAKHAPATNAM: The Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh (APEPDCL) Visakhapatnam dispatched a team of 600 employees to Vijayawada to restore the city's chaotic electricity system on Tuesday. The team, led by CMD Prithvithej Immadi, arrived with essential equipment to address the power outages affecting Krishna, NTR, Guntur, and Bapatla districts.

The employees, ranging from chief engineers to assistant engineers and line staff, have been divided into 64 teams to expedite the restoration process. CMD Prithvithej conducted initial reviews and surveys in Tullur and other areas, inspecting the damage in Harishchandrapuram and taking immediate steps to restore power supply with the aid of boats.

The team identified inundated areas under Epurulanka and Juvvalapalem substations in Kollur section of Tenali division and initiated measures to restore power supply in these flood-affected areas.

The team is working overtime to restore power supply in affected areas such as Dairy Projects, Singanagar Vambe Colony, Kalara Hospital, Sugguna Lanka, Teachers Colony, Machilipatnam, Mutyalampadu, Kabela-KK Nagar, Lalitha Nagar, Sitara, Urmila Nagar, Ibrahimpatnam, Nandigama, Ramalingeswara Nagar, Screw Bridge, Putta Road, Rama Temple, Head Works, Lotus, Bhattiprolu, Kalanagar, Gollapudi Ayyappa Temple, Datta Road, Rayanapadu, Suryapalem, Vidyadhara Puram, Epuru Lanka, Sugguna Lanka, Tenali, Thotvallur, and Uyyuru.
