8 Bikes Seized in Cordon and Search Operation in Yemmiganur

 Kurnool: The Yemmiganur Sub-Division police conducted a cordon and search operation in Yemmiganur town on Tuesday, seizing eight two-wheelers without proper documentation or number plates. The teams conducted searches across Shakti Nagar, NTR Buildings, Shanti Nagar, Shivanna Nagar, Venkatapuram and Lakshmipet in the early hours of the day.

Police officials issued a stern warning against engaging in illegal activities and the operation was led by Yemmiganur DSP Upendra Babu, with active participation from circle inspectors Srinivasulu, Ramanujulu, Manjunath, sub-inspectors, and other police personnel.

Dhone police arrest scamster

The Dhone police arrested Chanda Ramanjaneyulu, the key accused in a cryptocurrency fraud case, late on Monday. He allegedly defrauded 315 people across four districts, swindling approximately Rs 23 crore. The police have frozen Rs 2.45 crore from his bank account. Cases have been registered under Crime Number 320/2024, citing Sections 318(4), 316(3), and 316(5) of BNS 2023, as well as Section 5 of the AP Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act, 1999.

A resident of Padda Vaduguru in Anantapur district, Ramanjaneyulu has a history of involvement in similar crimes. He lured victims by promising returns of Rs 10,000 per month for every Rs 1 lakh invested. The scam affected people across Kurnool, Nandyala, Mahbubnagar, and Kadapa districts. Since 2021, Ramanjaneyulu is said to have gained public trust by posing as a representative of an organic herbal company before orchestrating the massive fraud.
