The district president of the National Human Rights Committee and convener of the North Andhra Agriculture Pond Protection Committee has urged ITDA authorities to provide ambulance services for transporting deceased individuals from Parvathipuram Manyam district government hospital to their native villages. During a collector's meeting on Monday, Naidu made this appeal to ITDA project office Vishnu Charana. He highlighted the challenges faced by tribals, who often rely on autos, motorcycles, and jeeps due to the absence of ambulance services, when transporting bodies from around 15 mandals and nearby villages in Odisha to the Parvathipuram district hospital. Naidu emphasized that many families cannot afford private ambulances, resulting in some deceased individuals being cremated at the hospital. Considering the impending disease season and ongoing monsoon, Naidu stressed the urgent need for ambulances stationed at the district hospital to facilitate the transport of deceased tribals to their native places. Additionally, he requested the establishment of a special monitoring cell at the hospital to support tribals during these difficult times. The plea was submitted during the meeting, and the ITDA project office assured immediate action in response.
