Adali view point opened in Manyam district

Adali view point in Parvathipuram Manyam district on the occasion of World Tourism Day on Friday.

Visakhapatnam: Adali view point was opened for the public on the occasion of World Tourism Day in Parvathipuram Manyam district on Friday. District Collector A Shyam Prasad inaugurated the point. Local MLA Nimmaka Jayakrishna and other leaders were present.

Adali view point was developed by Seethampeta ITDA which spent Rs.1.56 crore.

The point has a kitchen cum breakfast area, toilet block, path way, lawn grass flooring for night camping, landscaping with carpet grass and plants.

The place has been given on lease to a private agency with the approval of the District Tourism Council.

The collector said Parvathipuram Manyam has several natural scenic beauty spots with valleys, waterfalls and picturesque hilltops. The district administration proposes to develop some areas to attract tourists. SK padu park is among the one to be developed soon and Seethampeta NTR Adventure Park was well known for its amusements and where World Tourism Day was celebrated in a grand manner.

Different stalls were arranged exhibiting local traditional food, tribal instruments, photos of tourism places and cultural programmes were conducted.

The collector further added that the Tribal Museum is being established with a cost of Rs.4 crore and Jagathipalli resorts with a cost of Rs.27 crore.

Many more tourism places were being identified to develop the district as a tourism hub, he added. He appealed to the public to co-operate to keep the environment eco-friendly and free from plastic.

He said Benarai waterfalls would be developed by next year's world Tourism day. All terrain vehicles at NTR Adventure park would be developed as the Chief Minister had announced to release Rs.1.50 crore, he informed.

Local MLA Nimmaka Jayakrishna said that the Seethampeta and Bhamini areas have potential for tourism development that would provide employment to Adivasi youth.
