Advanced Tech. For Clean, Green Vijayawada: VMC Chief

 Vijayawada: Vijayawada is adopting advanced technologies to become a clean and green city, municipal commissioner H.M. Dhyanachandra said at a Swachh Bharat Mission meeting held on Saturday.

Dhyanachandra participated in the meet via video conferencing from the command control room, at the main office here.

In the meeting, the ministry of housing and urban affairs officials explained the budgetary allocations for drinking water supply, sewage treatment, solid waste management, and other civic matters in cities and state capitals.

How to use treated water from sewage treatment plants for agricultural purposes was discussed in detail.

Dhyanchandra was joined by additional commissioner (projects) K.V. Satyavati, chief medical health officer Dr P. Ratnavali, superintending engineer (projects) Rammohan Rao, and superintending engineer (works) Sriramachandramurthy for the meeting.
