Andhra EC Prepares Fresh Rolls for Srikakulam-Vizianagaram Teachers' constituency

Vijayawada: The Election Commission of India has ordered the preparation of new electoral rolls for the Srikakulam-Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam Teachers' Constituency in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council. The fresh rolls will be based on November 1 as the qualifying date.
The Election Commission has issued specific guidelines for the preparation of these rolls. Teachers seeking inclusion must provide certificates from the head of each institution where they have taught over the last six years. Only those who have taught in educational institutions in the state for the required period, at or above the secondary school level, are eligible for inclusion in the roll.
Additionally, the period for filing claims and objections is scheduled from November 23 to December 9, 2024. Applicants who missed the initial application deadline of November 6 will still have the opportunity to register during this period. Applications will also be accepted up to 10 days before the nomination deadline, with all pending applications processed by the last date for nominations.
