Visakhapatnam: Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao made significant remarks regarding the recent GVMC standing committee elections, suggesting that the voting pattern reveals a challenging scenario for the YSRC. Rao noted that numerous corporators cast their votes against the ruling party, which could potentially benefit the NDA in the upcoming MLC elections. He dismissed allegations of political corruption levelled by Y.S. Jagan and his party members as "hilarious."

During a press conference on Thursday, Rao highlighted the efficient distribution of pensions for the second consecutive month without volunteer assistance, showcasing the administration’s effectiveness. He praised Chief Minister Chandrababu for his commitment to developing North Andhra districts and Visakhapatnam, citing upcoming projects like the Bhogapuram Airport and the proposed Metro project as signs of progress.

Rao also addressed the controversy surrounding the 'Tallikivandanam' scheme, accusing the YSRC of spreading misleading information about the TD's initiative. He expressed confidence in the NDA's potential to secure victories in the MLC elections and potentially capture the mayoral seat in Visakhapatnam.
