Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh High Court directed the police not to take any action in haste on former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi in a case of an attack on the Telugu Desam party office and posted the next hearing to August 20.

On Wednesday, a single-judge bench headed by Justice V.R.K. Krupa Sagar-led heard the anticipatory bail plea of the former MLA. Petitioner’s counsel Vemulapati Pattabhi argued that the FIR was filed in February 2023 and Vamsi was made accused no. 71 after 18 months with the motive of political vendetta after the change of government.
