Anantapur: There is a huge demand in Andhra Pradesh for portraits of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.

This is a consequence of the change of government in the state. Portraits of the chief minister of the state are displayed in government and quasi-government offices. With the TDP-led NDA alliance coming to power and Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan becoming the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister respectively, their photos need to be fixed in government and other offices.

Photo frame shops are busy collecting bulk orders from government offices and also leaders across the state. TD and JS cadres have taken it as prestigious to fix photos of Naidu and Kalyan in municipalities, corporations, MPDO offices, gram panchayats and gram sachivalayams.

Incidentally, 80 per cent of local bodies had been won by the YSRC. They sported photos of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, which TD and JS leaders want changed with the portraits of Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.

It is stated criminal cases are being booked against municipal chairpersons of YSRC, who are resisting TD leaders pressure to fix portraits of the Chief Minister and Deputy CM.

A photo-frame maker Lakshmi Narayana from Anantapur is happy, as he is getting orders for portraits of Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, which has increased his business.
