Andhra Pradesh: Speaker urges MLAs to be active in House

Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu urged MLAs to actively raise issues in the Assembly, ensuring that various concerns are brought to the government's attention through debates. He assured MLAs that they would be given ample opportunities to participate in discussions and present their issues in the Assembly.
Ayyanna Patrudu, alongside Endowment minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and Anaparthi MLA Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy, took part in a pension distribution event at Ramavaram village and a medical camp at Balabhadrapuram village within the Anaparthi constituency on Thursday. He encouraged MLAs to leverage these opportunities effectively and called on citizens to collaborate with the government for the betterment and development of future generations, irrespective of political affiliations.
Ayyanna Patrudu addressed concerns regarding pension distribution, noting that despite some skepticism about Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's ability to deliver pensions on time, all pensions were successfully distributed within one and a half days last month. By 9:30 am on Thursday, 97 percent of the 64.90 lakh beneficiaries had received their pensions. He reiterated his commitment to giving every MLA a chance to speak in the Assembly.
He also praised Anaparthi MLA Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy for his initiative to conduct a house-to-house survey to identify cancer patients in the constituency. Ayyanna Patrudu emphasised that such programmes can aid in the early detection of cancer and other diseases, allowing for timely medical treatment.
The event was attended by Jaggampet MLA Jyothula Venkata Appa Rao (Nehru), Prathipadu MLA Varupala Satya Prabha, Kothapeta MLA Bandaru Satyananda Rao, former Minister K.S. Jawahar, former BJP district president S. Veerraju, G.S.L. Hospital chairman Ganni Bhaskara Rao, Dr. Ramakrishna from Trust Hospital and others.
