Andhra Pradesh: YSRC Follower Brutally Killed in Mahanandi

Kurnool: P. Pedda Subbarayudu, 65, a follower of the YSR Congress Party, on Sunday was brutally murdered in Sitaramapuram village of Mahanandi Mandal in Nandyala district.

His house was attacked by opponents who beat him up with stones and sticks and later stabbed him to death. His wife, Bala Subbamma, was also injured in the fracas. Subbarayudu was said to be a follower of former Srisailam legislator Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy.

Bala Subbamma is currently in the hospital. accused TDP leader Budda Srinivasa Reddy and his followers of killing her husband due to political differences. She claimed 30 followers of Srinivasa Reddy came to their house at midnight and when Subbarayudu questioned them, they attacked him with lethal weapons.

Nandyal SP Adhiraj Singh Rana visited the village on Sunday morning and is monitoring the law-and-order situation.

The YSRC responded on 'X', criticising the police for failing to act in the case. Party leader Narapureddy sought police presence as TD goons allegedly threatened to kill people in the village.
