Vijayawada: Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was indulging in diversion politics by misleading the public about the Tirumala laddu prasadam to distract them from the failures of his first 100 days of governance.

Addressing a press conference, Jagan stated that each tanker bringing ghee must have an NABL certificate and explained that each tank's samples were tested three times, and only if they pass all three tests the TTD would approve the materials.

Jagan claimed that Chandrababu Naidu was spreading lies about things that did not happen. He questioned who the Chief Minister was when the samples were collected on July 12. He mentioned that the ghee samples were taken when Chandrababu Naidu was the Chief Minister.

On July 17, the ghee samples were sent to the NDDB, and the report was issued on July 23. Jagan questioned what actions Chandrababu Naidu took after receiving the report on July 23. He commented that it is ironic for Chandrababu Naidu to speak now if the report was issued on July 23.

He mentioned that under their governance, they have rejected substandard ghee 18 times. He accused Chandrababu Naidu of defiling the sanctity of Tirumala, stating that such situations have never occurred in the state's history. He claimed that KMF did not supply ghee from 2015 to 2018. After the YSRCP came to power, they improved the labs associated with Tirumala.

He said the TTD introduced many revolutionary changes to Tirumala under the YSRCP's governance. Jagan noted that the TTD is an independent entity and that the government does not interfere with it.
