Vijayawada: The CPM state committee has urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan to withdraw the practice of receiving grievances from the public at the TD, JS and BJP offices. Instead, they were suggested that these grievance cell programmes be conducted at government offices.

Finding fault with the ongoing practice, CPM state secretary V. Srinivas Rao said it was inappropriate and wrong for the ruling alliance leaders in trying to erase the division line between the government and political parties.

He said it is the responsibility of the government and those holding office to solve public issues and that the CMO, Secretariat and other government offices are the proper venues to receive grievances from the public, not political party offices.

He further demanded that those leaders in power should render welfare to all sections of society and address the issues.
