AP Has 16.15 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Sand

Vijayawada:Mines and excise principal secretary Mukesh Kumar Meena announced that Andhra Pradesh has 16.15 lakh metric tonnes of sand available across 40 stock points for consumers as of Thursday.

On Wednesday alone, 31,469 metric tonnes of sand were supplied to 2,211 consumers. Additionally, 1,978 consumers applied for 27,763 metric tonnes of sand on the same day. The total pending demand of 3,706 metric tonnes from 233 applicants on Tuesday has also been met.
