Savita directed officials and hostel wardens across the state to be vigilant. She warned of strict action against those neglecting their duties.

Savita chaired a meeting with BC welfare department officials at the Velagapudi secretariat on Tuesday. The focus of the meeting was on ensuring health and well-being of students in hostels and gurukuls.

She instructed officials and wardens to completely ban outside food and prevent students from leaving the hostel premises. The minister stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness, providing safe drinking water, and serving nutritious meals to inmates, according to the government's menu. She also prohibited serving of stale or spoiled food to students.

Savita asked hostel wardens to stay on campus at night and ordered district officials to conduct regular inspections. BC welfare department director Mallikarjuna, BC gurukul secretary Krishna Mohan, and others were present.
