AP: MLA Arani urges use of eco-friendly Ganesh idols in Tirupati

Tirupati: MLA Arani Srinivasulu has urged the public to embrace eco-friendly practices during the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. In a statement, he emphasised the Jana Sena party's commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation, calling upon both party members and the general public to contribute to these efforts.

On Monday, the MLA, accompanied by municipal commissioner Narapureddy Maurya, police officials, and representatives of the Tirupati Vinayaka Festival Committee, inspected the preparations for the Ganesh idol immersion. They conducted a thorough review of the water supply infrastructure from the Telugu Ganga to the two immersion tanks, ensuring they would be filled to capacity.
Srinivasulu highlighted the importance of seamless arrangements to facilitate a smooth and comfortable immersion experience for devotees at Vinayaka Sagar.
He directed the police to manage vehicle traffic carrying Ganesh idols efficiently and maintain a strong security presence at the mandaps. Additionally, he requested mandap organisers to adhere to the designated immersion times.
Acting upon suggestions from the festival committee, Srinivasulu ordered the deployment of cranes and towing vehicles to mitigate traffic congestion in case of vehicle breakdowns during idol transportation. He also proposed enhancing the festive atmosphere by decorating the main entrance of Vinayaka Sagar and surrounding areas with colorful serial lights.The Tirupati Vinayaka Festival Committee convener, Samanchi Srinivas, along with committee members, Jana Sena city president Raja Reddy, Telugu Desam leaders, municipal corporation officials, and others were present during the inspection.
