AP Vision 2047' release on October 2

Vijayawada: The 'AP Vision 2047' document, which aims for 15% growth in each district, will be released by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on October 2, principal secretary of finance Peeyush Kumar announced. The document is being prepared with 12 priority areas and four main objectives: zero poverty, social and physical infrastructure development, demographic management and ease of living, he explained during the collectors' meeting held here on Monday.

“Niti Aayog officials will meet the state government departments from September 6 to 8 and suggestions and opinions from various departments will be taken by September 15. The document will be made public between September 1 and 15 for feedback and suggestions from the public. Currently, the document is titled 'Vikasit Andhra Pradesh' (Developed Andhra Pradesh), however, the suggestions for a better title are welcome,” informed Peeyush Kumar.
Special principal secretary of the forest department G. Anantharam explained the need to increase the forest cover in the state. He said the planting of saplings was done in the past as part of the rural employment guarantee scheme, but this was discontinued in the last four years and now the forest department wants to restart the programme on a large scale. Anantharam said that as part of the afforestation drive, the department would conduct a seed distribution programme across the state at the cost of `13.5 crore and the collectors have to supervise the seeding activities of 50 lakh seeds in each district.
K. Harshavardhan, secretary of the minority welfare department said that the total population of Andhra Pradesh is 493.87 lakh of which 43.46 lakh are minorities. State-wide Waqf lands and their survey details were given and the details of the targeted land survey in 2025, 2026, 2027 and action plan were disclosed. Secretary of social welfare, tribal welfare and panchayat raj department K. Kannababu presented the data of pre-matric hostels, post-matric hostels and residential schools. He also explained the objectives to be achieved in the social sector for the next year.
P. Bhaskar from the general administration department explained BC's welfare status in the state. Secretary of the women, child welfare and disabled welfare department A. Surya Kumari, commissioner of the civil supplies department Siddharth Jain and other IAS officers explained the status and progress of their respective departments.
