VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan on Saturday emphasised that Andhra Pradesh is stepping into the future of water-based aviation transportation with the launch of the maiden seaplane from Vijayawada to Srisailam.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM congratulated AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and union civil aviation minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu for making the water-based air transport initiative a reality.

Pawan Kalyan said the initiative, led by AP Airport Development Corporation Limited in partnership with Government of India’s UDAN-RCS scheme, will establish Andhra Pradesh as a leader in water-based aviation.

“By promoting tourism, this will significantly boost the state’s economy, creating job opportunities and enhancing access to remote destinations,” he underlined.
