AU announces results for APEdCET-2024 and APPGCET-2024 examinations

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University, on behalf of the State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), conducted the AP EdCET-2024 entrance examinations on Thursday for aspiring teachers.

This exam determines admissions for Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and B.Ed. special education courses across all universities, government colleges and affiliated colleges within Andhra Pradesh.

Out of the 10,805 candidates who registered for APEdCET-2024, covering five subjects – Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Social Studies, and English –9,365 candidates appeared for the exam. Impressively, 9,183 candidates qualified, reflecting a high pass rate.

The subject-wise toppers were Kakaraparthi Bhavana Phani Priya (Mathematics), Kasina Veera Sai Chandrika (Physical Science), Vinjamuri Venkata Sai Manikanta (Biological Science), Koppula Swetha (Social Studies), and Borra Ramani (English).

The announcement also included the results for the AP Postgraduate Teacher Training Entrance Test (APPGCET-2024) conducted by the AP government through APSCHE.

A significant number of students participated, with 33,865 registrations across 33 subjects. Of these, 29,908 students appeared for the exam and 18,467 qualified. This translates to an overall pass percentage of 61.75. The pass percentage differed slightly between genders, with male candidates at 59.30 and female candidates at 63.24.
