AU to launch corporate ready M. Tech programme

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University, a premier institution of higher education, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Avantel Limited, a leading technology firm. This collaboration marks the launch of a tailor-made M.Tech course in Signal Processing and Communication Systems, designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by equipping students with corporate-ready skills.

The innovative program, supported by Avantel Limited, integrates academic rigor with industry exposure. Students enrolled in the course will engage in a year-long internship during the 3rd and 4th semesters, receiving a monthly stipend of ₹25,000. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible for full-time employment at Avantel, with an attractive annual CTC of ₹9,00,000.
The MoU was officially signed and exchanged between Prof. E.N. Dhanamjaya Rao, Registrar of Andhra University, and Avantel officials. Prof. G. Sasibhusana Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University, was also present. Representing Avantel Limited were N. Srinivas Rao, Vice President – Technical, and other officials.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nagarajan, Advisor at Avantel Limited, emphasized the significance of industry-academic collaborations in nurturing future-ready talent. "This program is a testament to Avantel’s commitment to empowering students with the knowledge and skills required for cutting-edge technological advancements," he said.
The M.Tech program, set to commence in the next academic year, offers admitted students a conditional offer letter at the time of admission, guaranteeing a lucrative career path with a starting package of ₹9 lakh per annum. This unique initiative ensures that students graduate with not only academic qualifications but also substantial industry experience and job security.
