BJP chief launches ‘Varadhi’ to receive petitions from people

Vijayawada: BJP state president and Rajamahendravaram MP Daggubati Purandeswari launched the ‘Varadhi’ programme at the party’s head office here on Thursday with an aim to receive petitions from the people and help resolve them. She performed a special puja and inaugurated the ‘Varadhi’ office.
Speaking on the occasion, Purandeswari said the BJP MPs, MLAs and the ministers would work to resolve the issues submitted to them in the form of petitions by serving as a bridge between the people and the government. She also launched an app pertaining to the programme.
She said nearly 20 petitions were received and added that petitions dealing with the problems like corruption to the tune of Rs 500 crore in Prakasam district to a murder with no case registered by the police at Kadapa were received.
