CBC Celebrates 78th I-Day with Photo Exhibition in Tenali
Vijayawada:The Central Bureau of Communications (CBC) celebrated the 78th Independence Day with the holding of a photo exhibition in Tenali on Thursday.
The two-day exhibition organised by the Guntur field office of CBC at Tenali Railway Station focussed on ‘Partition Horrors’.
The Guntur field office of the Central Bureau of Communication has organised the photo exhibition with rare pictures of the partition times. The exhibition aimed at educating the younger generation on the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
Notably, on the 75th Independence Day in 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a call to the nation to observe the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on August 14th every year.
Former vice president M Venkaiah Naidu, extended his best wishes to the CBC Guntur officers for the success of the photo exhibition, while he was passing through the Tenali Railway station for Nellore.
CBC Guntur FPO, R Ramesh Chandra said, “Hundreds of people from different walks of life visited the photo exhibition. This also included students from various schools and colleges.
CBC made special arrangements to invoke patriotism and sense of participation in 78th Independence Day celebrations by distributing flags and badges to the rail passengers.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ramesh Chandra thanked the divisional administration of Tenali and the railway officials for making the exhibition a grand success.
