CM Naidu greets women to mark Raksha Bandhan

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu greeted the women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said the Telugu Desam has shown partiality towards the women since its inception and attributed credit to the party for providing equal rights to the women in the property and in bringing out a reform to deliver several welfare schemes and also the assets in the name of women beneficiaries.
He said they had set up Dwcra groups to empower the women and encouraged girls to pursue education and provided reservation to the women in local bodies. He asserted that their government was committed to ensure self-respect, safety and development of women. He assured to extend all support to the women at all times.
Meanwhile, TD leaders Peethala Sujatha, Gadde Anuradha, Achanta Sunitha, Kambhampati Sirisha and Brahmakumaris arrived at the CM’s residence in Undavalli and tied rakhis to his hand. The CM thanked them.
